Description de posteCassiar Gold Corp. requires a hardworking, diligent, motivated SENIOR GEOLOGIST to join our team for the upcoming exploration program at Jade City, BC. Position - Assist in planning and leading an active diamond drilling program in a fast paced, remote environment - Demonstrate leadership and active participation in the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental program while upholding statutory requirements - Supervision of on-site personnel and contractors - Liaise with stakeholders, contractors, and public - Implement and uphold best practice industry procedures - Data collection, interpretation, modeling, and target development and ranking; presentation of results and recommendations. - Support reporting, including internal and regulatory Work will be on a scheduled rotation during field program (typically May through October). Work will be conducted remotely in the off-season. Pay will be commensurate with experience. A comprehensive employee benefits package is available. Qualifications - University degree(s) in Geology or equivalent. A relevant advanced degree (MSc or PhD) will be considered an asset. - EGBC professional registration or transferable equivalent - 7-10 years of experience in mineral exploration in Canada, preferably in orogenic gold - Experience and success in camp-based mineral exploration - Experience in supervision of exploration personnel and contractors - Demonstrated experience in target generation and project advancement - Proficiency with industry-standard geological, modeling, and GIS software (LeapFrog & QGIS) - Must reside in & be legally eligible to work in Canada - Valid First Aid certification and driver’s license Skills & Attributes - Strong communication, leadership, team-building, and organizational skills. - Strong work ethic; results-focused and adaptable, whether in a busy remote work environment or working independently while contributing effectively to a small technical team. - Strong analytical and interpretive skills - High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail Key Responsibilities - Lead by example in health, safety, and environmental performance, ensuring all exploration activities comply with company policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices - Emphasize a strong safety culture in field settings, including hazard identification, risk assessment and mitigation, and daily safety communications - Design, manage and execute exploration programs including diamond drilling, geological mapping, sampling, geophysical surveys, and interpretation - Integrate datasets to generate and refine exploration targets - Lead exploration programming in-field on a rotational basis while overseeing geologists, technicians, and contractors - Manage QAQC protocols related to sampling, assay results, and data management - Assist with the preparation of exploration budgets, timelines, and operational plans - Liaise with local stakeholders as required To Apply Cassiar Gold Corp. is an equal opportunity employer encouraging applications from all qualified individuals.
