Oracle Software Architect

Salary: $140,000 - 140,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require at least 8 years of cumulative hands-on experience developing, delivering, and supporting ERP solutions as an Application/Software Architect in Oracle EBS or Oracle Fusion Cloud.
• We require a two-year or longer post-secondary program from a recognized institution in computer science, information technology, information management, or a closely related discipline.
• We require advanced expertise in enterprise application architecture, including frameworks, strategies, and solution roadmaps.
• We require strong technical knowledge of WebLogic, OEM Grid Control, Oracle EBS R12.2, and Oracle 19c database environments.
• We require proven capability in database performance tuning, system sizing, capacity planning, and backup/recovery using RMAN.
• We require experience resolving patching challenges with opatch and Oracle EBS online patching (adop), including assessing impacts to custom objects, interfaces, triggers, and personalizations.
• We require demonstrated ability to analyze functional requirements and guide the implementation of Oracle EBS or Oracle Fusion Cloud modules.
• We require experience documenting system structures, database content, subsystems, data dictionaries, standards, and technical design details.
• We require experience defining interfaces between manual and automated processes, as well as between external and internal systems.
• We require familiarity with Oracle R12.2 Supply Chain modules, including Warehouse Management, Supply Chain Management, Bill of Materials, Order Management, Inventory, and Manufacturing.
• We require reliability-level security clearance with the Government of Canada.
• We require the ability to work in a fully remote contract environment.
• We require strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• We will have you lead the technical architecture for the full project lifecycle of our Oracle-based warehouse management initiative.
• We will have you develop and present architecture options, strategies, and implementation roadmaps for Warehouse Management, Inventory Management, and Order Management in Oracle EBS.
• We will have you support migrations, onboarding, go-live preparation, and other implementation activities in line with our change management practices.
• We will have you provide expert guidance on WebLogic 12c, OEM Grid Control 13.x, Oracle EBS R12.2, and Oracle 19c platforms.
• We will have you manage performance tuning, system sizing, capacity forecasting, and backup/recovery planning using RMAN.
• We will have you troubleshoot patching issues and assess the downstream effects on custom developments and personalized components.
• We will have you create and manage Oracle Service Requests and coordinate with external partners and vendor support teams.
• We will have you perform import/export activities, manage transportable tablespaces, and support upgrade-related technical work.
• We will have you help define resource plans and skill requirements for technical work packages.
• We will have you establish and support test environments and respond to client questions throughout the testing phase.
• We will have you participate in weekly technical and functional status meetings and provide progress updates to management.
• We will have you produce, maintain, and refresh all required technical documentation throughout the assignment.

We are BA-Tech Consulting, supporting a federal government client on a major Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.8 Integrated Financial Materiel Management System initiative. Our client manages a broad enterprise platform covering financials, materiel, contracting, and real estate, and this project will replace two legacy warehouse systems with an integrated Oracle EBS Warehouse Management solution for a National Depot and additional warehouse locations. This is a fixed-term contract for 18 months with a possible 6-month extension, offered as a fully remote role. The compensation is up to $140,000 per year, and the position requires reliability-level security clearance. We are seeking a senior architect who can contribute across the entire project lifecycle and help deliver a complex supply chain transformation.
