Corporate Controller

Based in Vancouver, our client is a privately held real estate organization with decades of experience in property development, ownership, and management. The company specializes in residential and mixed-use projects, with a strong focus on long-term value, meaningful relationships, and community-driven development guided by people-first values.

About the Position
Reporting to the CFO, the corporate controller will be responsible for leading a team of 5 accountants, some of the duties include but are not limited to:

• Oversee full-cycle accounting across multiple entities
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting under ASPE and IFRS.
• Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, budgets, and variance analysis
• Maintain cash flow forecasts to support operational and strategic planning
• Work closely with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
• Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and reporting requirements
• Coordinate with external auditors and liaise with CRA on GST and tax matters
• Oversee tax filings for corporations, partnerships, joint ventures, and trusts
• Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
• Review and approve payroll, taxable benefits, and regulatory filings.
• Oversee T4s, T4As, WCB, EHT, and related submissions

Requirements

• Designated CPA
• 7+ years of accounting experience
• Public practice experience is required.
• Real estate experience is required.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $150,000 to $170,000
• Discretionary Bonus
• Extended health and dental benefits
• 4 weeks’ vacation
