Salary : $18.50 per hour
Location : Varies between the SDG Counties Administration Building, SDG Library branches, and community locations within SDG.
Term : May to August 2026 (approximate 4-month term)
Pay Rate : $18.50 per hour
Hours of Work : 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (May and June) transitioning to Tuesday to Saturday (July and August). Evening and weekend work will be required.
Summary :
Summer Reading Club and Outreach Facilitators will help with the implementation of the TD Summer Reading Club program at SDG Library. This will include the preparation of marketing materials, as well as other publicity and related activities; the organization of weekly programs, preparation of activity materials, setup / take down; outreach activities to the community and other duties as assigned.
Successful candidate will be expected to travel to Library branches and / or community locations in SDG. Mileage will be paid between locations.
Students will receive in-depth Health & Safety training provided by SDG Counties prior to beginning work.
Qualifications : The candidate must :
Bilingualism (English & French) is considered an asset.
Candidates should be post-secondary students with an interest or focus on education, STEAM, and / or the arts. Computer and digital literacy skills must be high.
Successful applicants will be required to provide a criminal record check, including vulnerable sector check, and a driver's abstract indicating a clean driving record, prior to commencement.
