High School Coach/Tutor/Teacher Wanted

Oxford Learning Halifaxis currently seeking motivated part-time tutors to join our dedicated team. As a Tutor/Teacher at Oxford Learning you will play a key role in supporting students in Grades 9-12. This role is in-person so you must be able to commute to this location. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Teaching up to 3 students at a time following our proven teaching methodologies
• Providing personalized instruction in a range of math and science subjects including advanced functions algebra trigonometry calculus physics chemistry and biology
• Filling out post-lesson notes and communicating student progress
• Maintaining a friendly encouraging and professional demeanor at all times

What were looking for:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in a relevant field
• Strong math and science knowledge aligned with the current high school curriculum
• Prior experience coaching or tutoring math and/or science at the secondary level
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work with students at different levels
