Description de posteAbout the Opportunity The Reinsurance Division of Great-West Lifeco participates in international reinsurance markets, providing Reinsurance solutions to clients across the US, Europe and Asia. We are among the top 10 life reinsurers in the United States by assumed business, and we continue to grow rapidly.
What you will do
Assess and challenge new reinsurance deals , preparing clear and insightful risk summaries for senior decision makers.
Develop quarterly CRO reports
and other risk materials, including analysis and presentation to the Reinsurance Executive Risk Management Committee.
Quantify and analyze key risk measures
such as Capital at Risk, Earnings at Risk and Liquidity at Risk on a quarterly basis.
Support the annual risk budget
for the Reinsurance Division.
Participate in
deep dive reviews
(e.g., tail risk, liquidity stress testing, limit reviews) that directly inform strategic priorities.
Identify and report on
current and emerging risks , drawing from business insights and independent research.
Help evolve our
risk identification, measurement, and reporting processes , contributing to both Reinsurance‑led and Lifeco‑wide initiatives.
Provide input on
risk mitigation strategies .
Monitor and report on compliance with the
Risk Appetite Framework , risk limits, policies, and operating standards.
Support timely communication and follow‑up for
risk limit breaches
and associated remediation plans.
What you will bring
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries/Canadian Institute of Actuaries (or equivalent)
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex analyses into clear insights
Able to build cross‑functional relationships
Able to work independently and adapt to a changing work environment
Strong time‑management skills and the ability to deliver high quality work under tight deadlines
Strong attention to detail

Salary The base salary for this position is between $90,400.00 - $140,400.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e., annual bonus, commission etc).
