ResponsibilitiesQMS Oversight: Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System in strict accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
Safety Leadership: Direct occupational health and safety programs to ensure full compliance with Canadian provincial and federal regulations.
Team Management: Provide direct supervision, coaching, and professional development to a team of 9 Plant Quality members.
Operational Excellence: Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, Lean, Kaizen) to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Compliance & Reporting: Act as the primary management representative for internal and external audits while managing all environmental reporting and emissions documentation.
QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Professional Experience: 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in a Quality-focused manufacturing role.
Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of ISO 9001 and experience navigating Canadian regulatory frameworks (OH&S and Environmental).
Leadership Competency: Proven ability to influence and lead within a unionized, matrixed organization.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and customer engagement.
Travel: Ability to travel approximately 10–15% within Ontario and occasionally to the United States.
