About the Position:
This is a temporary full time support staff bargaining unit position. This position will run for one year from the start date - working 35 hours per week at an hourly rate of $32.10
Reporting to the DTL Manager, and taking direction and guidance from Research Centre Coordinators/Managers and working closely with the research teams, the candidate will function as a Research Technician- Computer Vision and Model development working on research project Development of a 4D Planning Application for Digital Asset Management using Computer Vision and AI Development. These will be in close collaboration with other research staff, including research students, industry partners and Research and Innovation Office staff.
Specific Accountabilities:
•Carry out research project 4D Planning Application for Digital Asset Management using computer vision and AI development
•Conduct and help with research activities including literature review, data analysis, and experimentation in collaboration with researchers and industry partners
•Support with analysis and design of experiments for research projects: design, implementation, installation, calibration and documentation
Qualifications:
•2 year diploma or equivalent in Computer Science and Engineering
•Minimum 1 year experience in computer vision and AI development in digital twin environment
•Familiar with databases, programming languages and testing tools
•Strong knowledge of Microsoft office
•Strong commitment to overall health and safety
•Well-developed analytical, problem-solving and evaluation skills required to troubleshoot, problem-solve and provide analytical solutions to a wide variety of situations.
