  • Supports the Dean and leadership team in establishing and implementing strategic and operational plans.* Translates academic and strategic priorities into initiatives with clear outcomes and performance measures.* Leads or supports strategic initiatives related to new and existing programs, research intensity, experiential learning, cooperative education, student advising and career development.* Champions a high-quality student experience, including advising, career development, experiential education and inclusive learning environments.* Builds partnerships with alumni, employers, industry and community organizations to expand opportunities for students and to support the Faculty’s public and economic impact.* Works with Ceremonies and Events, Development and Alumni Engagement and other partners on events and advancement initiatives.* Identifies emerging issues and risks. Provides advice and triage on complex, sensitive or time-critical matters.* Coordinates integrated responses that protect academic quality, student experience, people and culture, and the Faculty’s reputation.* Ensures appropriate confidentiality and records management.* Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline. Minimum of seven years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.* Willingness to respect diverse perspectives, including perspectives in conflict with one’s own.* Demonstrated commitment to enhancing awareness, knowledge and skills related to equity, diversity and inclusion.* MBA or a Master’s Degree in a business discipline preferred.* Demonstrated experience in a large and complex private or public sector organization, including management experience at a senior level.* Experience in a university environment, preferably at a business school, is an asset.* Experience with academic planning, quality assurance and accreditation.* Ability to think and act independently, see broad implications, anticipate issues and manage contentious interactions.* Ability to think strategically and tactically and translate plans into practical solutions.* Strong relationship management and communication skills.* Proven people leadership and team-building skills.* Ability to shape and influence stakeholders without formal authority.* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sensitive and complex projects with diverse constituencies.* Exceptional organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.* Sound judgement and integrity.* Experience resolving unexpected or ambiguous situations with calm and poise.* Professional, tactful and sensitive communication with all levels of the University and external partners.* Experience managing staff, delegating and overseeing workflow, and providing coaching and corrective action.* Ability to work effectively across cultural differences and to foster equity and diversity in the workplace.* High responsiveness and flexibility, including workload and timing.* Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and use independent judgement when handling confidential information. #J-18808-Ljbffr
