Our Edmonton client is seeking a dedicated Scrum Master for a long-term contract to lead their cross-functional delivery teams in a fully remote capacity. Responsibilities• Facilitate all Scrum events including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Reviews, and Retrospectives while ensuring they stay productive.
• Coach team members on Agile values and Scrum roles to reinforce transparency and inspection throughout the delivery cycle.
• Partner closely with Product Owners to support backlog refinement and ensure story readiness for upcoming sprints.
• Identify and remove impediments or blockers that hinder team progress while escalating risks to leadership when necessary.
• Protect the team from external disruptions and maintain healthy engagement with all project stakeholders.
• Use data and metrics such as cycle time and throughput to improve team flow and predictability.
• Foster a culture of accountability and help the team establish clear definitions of ready and done.
Qualifications• Five or more years of experience working as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach supporting technical delivery teams.
• Active Scrum certification such as a PSM, CSM, or an equivalent industry credential.
• Deep knowledge of Agile lifecycle tools with specific experience managing workflows in Azure DevOps.
• Proven ability to facilitate workshops and group discussions to drive pragmatic solutions for distributed teams.
• Strong understanding of Kanban and hybrid delivery models including work in progress management.
