As a Sr. Cybersecurity Global Portfolio Architect, you will operate in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment, collaborating with cyber security, business projects, and IT teams. You will engage in threat risk services, assess and manage cyber security risks for new technology solutions, and expedite requests for accelerated assurance to deliver cutting‑edge technology safely.
In global enterprise projects, you will automate, globalize, and standardize solutions. You will build strong relationships with security analysts, senior enterprise architects, risk assessors, project managers, and business leads, ensuring teams understand and manage information and cyber risk within Nutrien’s risk appetite.
Additionally, you will provide guidance on cyber security issues requiring remediation, working closely with Nutrien’s global cybersecurity support and architecture teams to deliver superior solutions and advice across the business.
What You’ll Do
Cyber Security Architecture Consultant working in close collaboration with Nutrien’s Cyber Security Architecture team
Primary resource for performing threat and risk assessments on new initiatives
Create and communicate risk treatment plans, highlighting key risks and supporting remediation
Key member of threat and risk teams, promoting the company’s cybersecurity architecture across the enterprise
Maintain knowledge of current cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities, and stay informed on emerging adversary behaviors
Lead client engagement interviews to frame and size engagements, defining risks and opportunities for reduction
Conduct peer reviews within the Cybersecurity Architecture team to ensure consistency
Lead development of new cybersecurity patterns, templates, processes, and documentation
Stay current with new mitigation techniques and approaches
Serve as the senior cybersecurity position in North America and contribute to the Global Nutrien Cybersecurity Team
What You’ll Bring
Previous cybersecurity role in a medium to large organization
Experience in incident response, automation, and threat modeling
Thorough knowledge of networking, AI, security awareness, and malicious internet activities
Strong attention to detail and root‑cause determination
Experience creating cybersecurity architecture documentation focusing on cloud and DevOps integration
Experience assessing solutions across multiple technology stacks
Ability to identify risks and provide control objectives to reduce risk
Understanding of basic enterprise project management fundamentals
Ability to interpret context and lead architecture discussions across business layers
Ability to work as part of a global team while self‑managing local workloads
Extensive experience with agile software development teams
Consistent mindset positioning cybersecurity as an enabler of business objectives
Customer‑focused attitude enabling secure, effective operations
Post‑secondary degree or technical diploma preferred
Comprehensive experience in security architecture and risk assessment roles
Technical diploma or degree in an IT‑related field, or equivalent experience
Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CRISC) considered a plus but not mandatory
Knowledge of agile practices, DevSecOps tools, and methodologies
Experience implementing OWASP frameworks such as SAMM and DSOMM
Experience with ISO 31000 or other risk management frameworks
Experience with ISO 27001/27002 and SOC 2 Type II control frameworks
Knowledge of privacy compliance frameworks such as CCPA, LGPD, and GDPR
Knowledge of cloud services including serverless, containers, CI/CD, secure code management, benchmarks, and identity services
Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with global team experience
Ability to work independently within global processes and frameworks
