Postdoc, PhD and MSc Positions: 5G and Machine Learning

A position at the EECS School at the University of Ottawa is available to develop machine learning models to detect intruder UAVs that communicate through a 5G network. The detection will be done using a software-defined radio – please see https://www.carg-uottawa.com/group/carg-ai4uav. A good understanding of 5G communication systems and signal processing is desirable. Good software skills are needed. You will be working in a multidisciplinary team that includes scientists from various fields at the University of Ottawa, research centers, and industry partners. The applicants must possess a degree in a STEM discipline obtained within the past 3 years, with evidence of research productivity. Applicants must demonstrate that their previous research or industrial experience is relevant to the project. Good oral and written English skills are required. This position is open to citizens of any nationality, but preference will be given to citizens and permanent residents of Canada. The position will remain open until suitable candidates are found.
