As an Underwriting Specialist, Commercial Auto, you will review and evaluate large, complex account applications to determine risk, coverage, and premiums. You will accept or reject applications based on established policies, procedures, standards, and authority levels.
How you will create impact:
- Promote, underwrite, and quote new business, renewals, and endorsements according to the company’s underwriting philosophy, rating, loss ratio objectives, service standards, and authority levels.
- Negotiate coverage and rates and participate in underwriting audits.
- Complete necessary documentation supporting your business.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with brokers.
- Contribute to team goals, including written premium and profitability objectives.

To join our team:
- 5-7 years of Commercial Auto Underwriting experience, with proven success in underwriting new business.
- Experience in auto and transportation, focusing on medium to large accounts.
- Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is an asset.
- Proven ability to build lasting broker relationships.
- This role primarily involves working with non-francophone groups outside Québec and requires proficiency in English. Non-French duties are not assignable to other team members.
