Overview
Our client is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Director of Finance to join their leadership team and take ownership of the company’s daily accounting and financial operations. Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day accounting operations, overseeing general ledger, AP / AR, reconciliations, and internal controls.
- Produce accurate internal financial statements monthly and support quarterly / annual reporting needs.
- Manage and develop a team of 7 finance professionals.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
- Collaborate closely with the Controller to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Own and maintain compliance with GAAP standards.
- Monitor and manage inventory accounting processes — strong skills here are a major plus.
- Participate in strategy planning and prepare the organization for future financial growth.
- Support audit and tax processes with external partners.
- Bring a process-improvement mindset to existing systems and workflows.
Qualifications
CPA required.10+ years of progressive finance / accounting experience, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments strongly preferred.Demonstrated history of team management and mentoring (minimum 2+ direct reports).Strong financial systems knowledge and ability to drive efficiency.Excellent interpersonal skills – able to collaborate across departments and influence upward.Seniority level
