Shop Analyst

We are currently expanding and looking to add a motivated individual to our team based out of our Brampton office.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative and analytical support for shop and maintenance operations.
• Apply and manage identification tags on trailers and equipment, ensuring accurate system linkage for tracking and data retrieval.
• Maintain and update asset, maintenance, and operational data within internal systems
• Conduct research and develop shop requirements through document analysis and ongoing collaboration with stakeholders.
• Define project scope and objectives in partnership with Shop team.
• Develop business cases, project summaries, and needs analyses.
• Prepare clear, accurate documentation such as business requirements, technical specifications, and reports.
• Analyze data and generate insights to support operational efficiency.
• Develop dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement, and recommend effective solutions
• Troubleshoot system and operational issues, providing timely resolution with minimal supervision
• Collaborate with shop, maintenance, and related teams to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.
• Manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate with Maintenance Departments, Relaying maintenance information and timeline for resolutions and Track resolution time frames.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in an Analyst or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau (certification preferred); Tableau Server experience is an asset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good understanding of data analytics processes and systems
• High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and integrity
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and respond quickly to changing business needs
• Knowledge of DOT regulations
• Knowledge of Truck maintenance and repair would be considered as an asset.
