Temporary Human Resources Coordinator – 13 month contract
Reports To
VP/Regional General Manager
Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator will work in close conjunction with the VP/Regional General Manager; the Human Resources Coordinator assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. The HR Coordinator carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: departmental development, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, administration, and recruitment.

Job Duties
- Preparing and posting job advertisements, screening applications, and onboarding new hire into ADP.
- Perform Orientation for all new hires.
- Providing general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, pay changes and reports.
- Preparing and administrating documentation for new hires, including criminal record checks, identification tags, and department tours.
- Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
- Managing sensitive and confidential matters like personnel relations, employee relations and organizational changes, planning and protecting the security of information, data and files.
- Responding to and putting through various queries from managers and employees, and from other agencies or departments.
- Exercising individual judgment while dealing with potential or real troubles on own initiative and bringing them to manager’s attention.
- Leading investigatory interviews with employees from various departments.
- Oversee Performance Management processes.
- Coordinating staff training events or programs and recommending resources as needed.
- Assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR office and the Casino operations.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of HR-related experience.
- Union experience is considered an asset.
- Previous ADP Software knowledge would be considered an asset.
- College diploma or additional post-secondary education in HR related courses is an asset.
- CHRP designation or equivalent is an asset
