Red Seal Truck & Transport TechnicianLocation: Halifax, Nova Scotia
Employment Type: Full-Time | PermanentAbout the RoleOur client is currently seeking a skilled and safety-focused Red Seal Truck & Transport Technician to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing Transport Canada–inspected passenger vehicles/vessels, ensuring they operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable, detail-oriented technician who takes pride in their work and thrives in a structured, safety-first environment.Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on Transport Canada inspected passenger vehicles/vessels
  • Ensure all equipment meets Transport Canada standards
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and address unsafe conditions
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records
  • Support inventory management, including replenishment and annual audits
  • Follow all company policies and safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times
  • Complete apprentice documentation as required
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Valid Red Seal Truck and Transport Certification
  • Clean driver’s abstract
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to maintain regulated vehicles to compliance standards
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing hands-on tasks (standing, bending, lifting)
