Truck Mechanic / Heavy Duty Truck Technician

We are seeking an experienced Truck Mechanic to join our service department. The successful candidate will diagnose, repair, and maintain medium and heavy-duty trucks while ensuring high standards of safety, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on heavy-duty trucks
• Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and drivetrain systems
• Service braking, suspension, steering, and hydraulic systems
• Troubleshoot engine performance, fuel systems, electrical systems, and emissions components
• Use electronic diagnostic tools and service software
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service inspections
• Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications
• Maintain accurate service documentation and repair records
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards

Requirements

• Experience as a Truck Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or Heavy Duty Technician
• Strong diesel engine diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working on heavy-duty trucks
• Experience using electronic diagnostic tools and scan equipment
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Valid driver’s license
• Own professional tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience servicing major truck brands such as Volvo, Mack, Kenworth, Freightliner, Scania, or International
• Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification
• Red Seal certification (preferred)
• Previous dealership or heavy-duty truck service center experience
