About the Role

Aquatera is seeking a senior process mechanical engineer to provide technical leadership across water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and collection systems. This role focuses on process optimization, regulatory compliance, capital planning, and operational support while mentoring team members and collaborating closely with engineering and operations.

Responsibilities

• Champion Aquatera’s safety culture and organizational values.
• Lead process engineering initiatives for water and wastewater systems; contribute to mechanical solutions as needed.
• Support plant master planning and long‑range capital planning.
• Conduct feasibility studies, preliminary engineering, and technical reviews.
• Develop and maintain process design standards, specifications, and best practices.
• Provide technical oversight and professional sealing of process documentation.
• Lead Management of Change (MOC) reviews, risk assessments, and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with operations on plant optimization, modelling, troubleshooting, outages, and system upsets.
• Maintain accurate P&IDs and support upgrades using AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and support AEPA compliance.
• Mentor and coach team members and promote continuous improvement.
