Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Micro Lab Technician to join our client's manufacturing team in Belleville, ON. Our client, Ya YA Foods is a fast-growing, dynamic manufacturer specializing in liquid foods and unique beverage products. In this role you will be responsible for performing microbiological and aseptic testing to ensure that raw materials, packaging, environmental conditions, and finished products meet established quality and safety standards. This role supports the Quality Control department by maintaining accurate documentation, performing routine and specialized laboratory procedures, and ensuring compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.

Perform aseptic sampling and microbiological analysis on packaging materials, raw ingredients, and finished products according to approved methods and specifications.Conduct pH testing of finished products as part of commercial sterility verification.Carry out environmental monitoring activities including swabbing, air sampling, and water testing based on defined schedules and SOPs.Participate in internal and external proficiency testing programs to verify laboratory accuracy.Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment in accordance with 5S principles.Prepare culture media, reagents, and materials required for microbial testing, including growth promotion assessments.Monitor laboratory equipment performance and complete in-house calibrations according to established schedules.Record test results promptly and accurately following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).Prepare samples and documentation for external laboratory testing when necessary.Assist in inventory control by monitoring supply levels and notifying supervisors when replenishment is required.Communicate any test results, deviations, or potential quality risks to QC Technicians and QA / QC Supervisors.Take part in investigations related to non-conformances or out-of-specification results.Ensure compliance with all company policies, including health & safety, environmental requirements, food safety regulations, GMP, and company Integrated Management Systems.Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications :
Post-secondary education in Microbiology or a related scientific field required.1-3 years of Quality Control experience in food or beverage manufacturing considered an asset.Ability to lift up to 10 kg and perform repetitive lifting tasks.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being an effective team member.Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in CanadaAre you interested in this position?
