PT Accounts Payable | Manufacturing | 3-month Contract

Our client, a leader in the food manufacturing industry, is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for a 3-month contract with a possibility for extension. Located in Langley, BC, this role ensures that accounts payable and other accounting tasks are processed accurately and in a timely manner for the organization.

Responsibilities
- Record, process, and pay vendor invoices utilizing the ERP system
- Ensure proper approval and tracking of invoices, verifying the accuracy of vendors, items, quantities, prices, and purchase terms
- Ensure that vendor payments are made in a timely manner to comply with vendor terms
- Investigate and report accounts payable discrepancies and resolve recurring problems


Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in a progressive manufacturing environment
- High School Diploma required; an Accounting Certificate (1 year) is preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 with good Excel skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including knowledge of modern business letter formats
