POSITION: Executive Director JOB TYPE: Full Time LOCATION: Grande Prairie, Alberta SALARY/WAGE: Starting at $75,000 (commensurate with experience) CLOSING DATE: June 5, 2026 or until suitable candidate is found JOB SUMMARY: The Agency is assisting the Centre for Creative Arts in Grande Prairie in the recruitment of an Executive Director to oversee operations, programs, and strategic direction. Celebrating over 30 years in the community, the Centre for Creative Arts continues to be a hub for creativity, connection, and cultural expression. This is an exciting opportunity for a leader who can honour the organization's strong foundation while guiding its continued balance and growth into the future. Working closely with the Board, the Executive Director will lead operations, support staff and volunteers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality programs that align with the Centre's vision. This role is ideal for a collaborative and forward-thinking leader who is both strategic and hands-on, with a passion for community impact and sustainable growth. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services Ensure programs align with organizational policies, priorities, and strategic direction Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure effective service delivery Manage financial operations including budgeting, reporting, and adherence to GAAP principles Prepare and present accurate financial reports including monthly and annual statements Collaborate with external accounting support for year-end financials and audits Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate staff, volunteers, and contractors Support staff development through onboarding, training, and performance management Foster a positive, collaborative, and creative workplace culture Provide leadership in team development and organizational capacity building Support the Board with policy development, implementation, and reporting Identify gaps and opportunities for policy development and improvement Participate in and lead strategic planning initiatives Develop operational and business plans aligned with organizational goals Monitor performance, resources, and outcomes, adjusting plans as needed Engage with community stakeholders, partners, and arts organizations REQUIREMENTS: University or College degree in a related field or equivalent experience 3–5 years of management or leadership experience considered an asset Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and reporting practices Experience working with Boards, governance structures, or non-profit organizations is an asset Demonstrated leadership and team development skills Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities Strong organizational and strategic planning skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Knowledge of human resource practices including recruitment and performance management Passion for arts, culture, and community engagement BENEFITS: Competitive Wages Health Benefits Meaningful role connecting community, creativity, and cultural development JOB POSTING INFORMATION: Submit your resume and cover letter to The Agency at recruiter@theagency212.com.
