Our three missions guide our daily work and help us achieve our purpose and vision. And the way we behave as we work towards these ambitious goals is to embrace and champion inclusion, collaboration, innovation, and courage.

We are 100 per cent employee-owned, and our success is driven by our employee owners. We prioritize people, purpose, and performance in all that we do.

We look for team members who are gritty, accountable, and driven - with a mindset rooted in initiative and purpose, you think like an entrepreneur and build strong, trusting relationships through clear communication and thoughtful dialogue, even in challenging conversations.

Job Description

Ready to build projects that keep communities running? Join us as a Civil Superintendent focused on municipal infrastructure - including water and wastewater treatment facilities, bridges, and other essential public works projects.

As our Civil Superintendent , you’ll lead day-to-day construction activities, enforce safety and quality standards, and partner closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to drive projects across the finish line - on time, on budget, and with the craftsmanship our reputation depends on.

  • Continuously monitor project budget and forecasting to the individual phase code level and cost type for potential gains and losses
  • Provide leadership and direction for all project activities and tasks, ensuring project outcomes are delivered successfully and in compliance with all contracts and client needs
  • Ensure clear communication of project-specific roles and responsibilities for all site personnel. Provide regular and respectful feedback for all under your direction
  • Monitor company equipment and supplies to ensure the needed equipment is where it’s required.
  • Inspect tools and equipment and notify the Tools and Equipment Manager for service and repair as needed
  • Pitch in hands-on when needed, including night shifts or extended hours, to overcome challenges and meet critical milestones

Qualifications

You bring grit, accountability, and an entrepreneurial mindset to every project. You thrive in a hands-on environment, solving problems on the fly and building trust through clear, respectful communication—even when the pressure’s on.

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Superintendent for a general contractor on civil projects
  • Proven track record managing projects valued between $1m and $30M
  • Background in Municipal Infrastructure (water, wastewater, bridge, etc.) projects considered a strong asset
  • Journeyman trade certification or equivalent field experience
  • Willingness to be hands-on in the field and to work occasional night shifts
  • Able and willing to travel and work across the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, and Fraser Valley
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Assets

  • Technical diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
  • Gold Seal certification
