Type of position: PERMANENT Contract duration: PERMANENT Salary: $120k-$140/year Location: Montreal Est --- Business Systems Analyst (BSA) – IBM Maximo Expert Your New Role As a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) – IBM Maximo Expert, you will serve as the primary functional lead for the IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS 9.0). You will act as the bridge between business needs and technological solutions, ensuring that asset management and maintenance processes align with Maximo’s capabilities and industry best practices. You will work closely with business teams, IT teams, and external partners to support the evolution, optimization, andernance of the Maximo MAS environment. In this role, you will:
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements related to asset management, maintenance, procurement, and operations.
  • Translate requirements into functional specifications aligned with business objectives.
  • Advise stakeholders on EAM best practices and the optimal use of Maximo’s native features to reduce customization.
  • Analyze existing processes and rmend improvements based on operational efficiency.
  • Assess the functional impacts of proposed solution changes and enhancements.
  • Produce and maintain documentation (processes, requirements, use cases, test scenarios).
  • Plan and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Participate in the design, evolution, maintenance, and lifecycle management of the IBM Maximo MAS environment.
  • Facilitate workshops, support change management, and deliver training and knowledge transfer.
  • Support data integrity, resolveplex issues (Level 3), and coordinate with vendors (Level 4) when needed.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Proven experience with IBM Maximo (V7.x / MAS 8.x / MAS 9.0).
  • Strong expertise in key modules: Asset Management, Work Management, Preventive Maintenance, Purchasing.
  • Experience in asset‑intensive industries (utilities, manufacturing, transportation, recycling, etc.).
  • Minimum 5 years as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Functional Analyst.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
Assets That Will Set You Apart:
  • Experience with Maximo migration from V7.x to MAS.
  • Knowledge of Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) and REST APIs.
  • SQL and Power BI skills.
  • Experience with BIRT reporting tools.
  • IBM Maximo / MAS certifications or willingness to obtain them.
