Job Title : FOOD SERVICE WORKER

Department : Dietary

Responsible To : Director of Dietary Services

Purpose : To deliver quality food services to the residents of the Home. Assisting residents during meal service time.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Prepare breakfast, staff lunches and sandwiches daily.
• Prepare, deliver and serve food in the proper portion size and temperature.
• Report to maintenance and equipment needing repairs.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, dishes, servicing areas / workstations.
• Participate in dietary staff meetings.
• Assist in receiving, audits and putting away orders that come into the
• kitchen.
• Attend annual in-services with WHMIS, fire safety, re-certify food handlerscertification and first aid / CPR, as required.

Equipment Used : Dishwasher, Food Carts, Vegetable Peeler, Knives, Microwave Oven, Mop, stove, Steamer, Ovens, Mixers, Food trucks, Toaster and Tray Trolleys.

Working Hours : Casual Subject to rotation and change, holidays and weekends.
