Climate Control is a locally owned company helping people stay comfortable in a city that experiences all weather extremes imaginable.
We help with heating, air conditioning, plumbing, refrigeration, gas lines, and kitchen equipment.
We seek a Journeyperson or 3rd / 4th Year Apprentice Sheet Metal Worker in Fort McMurray, Alberta, who can serve our loyal and valued customers.
Our Team Members love being trusted to make their own decisions and care for clients as if it’s their own business while receiving the support they need to make it happen.
We are based in town, and you can be home by 5 : 30 every evening. There are opportunities for overtime for the occasional weekend furnace install.
We offer an excellent wage of $40 per hour for a Journeyperson, along with benefits, generous vacation pay, and up to 3 months of accommodation to help candidates who need to relocate.
We also offer profit-sharing incentives for Team Members who help build our business.

Qualifications
What you need to succeed
- Qualified in Alberta as a Journeyperson Sheet Metal Worker, or 3rd or 4th year apprentices
- Customer Service Mindset
- Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract
- Strong Written / Verbal Communication Skills
- Leadership abilities and a focus on team

Responsibilities
Responsibilities
1.Install assemblies, including pipes, HVAC ducts, flashings, and furnace casings in supportive frameworks
2.Responding to service calls and troubleshooting and repairing identified issues on site while exceeding compliance standards
3.Maximize efficiency while fabricating and installing HVAC systems
4.Trim, file, buff, grind, and smooth metal surfaces and joints of parts using hand tools to ensure safety and a seamless appearance
5.Select and order the appropriate type and gauge of sheet metal to be used in projects according to specifications
6.Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal with solder, welds, caulk, bolts, and metal driver clips ensuring that bonds will last
7.Maintaining and repairing sheet metal components of HVAC equipment
8.Communicating candidly and professionally with customers, building trust and repeat business
9.Completing Work Orders and other administrative paperwork in a timely fashion
10.Other duties as required
