Job Title : C++ Developer Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a C++ Developer, where you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining advanced virtual reality and mixed reality simulation software for state-of-the-art training systems. Our focus is on creating interactive courseware, virtual and augmented reality simulators, and mission training systems, particularly for aerospace and defense applications. Your contributions will be integral to the evolution of our products, from software development and integration support to in-service engineering support.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team by participating in code reviews, direct collaboration, and open discussions of ongoing work.
• Actively engage in further development of your existing skill set.
• Recreate customer-reported defects with the help of quality assurance.
• Contribute to the evolution of software development practices and architecture.
• Perform hardware / software integration tasks and ensure relevant documentation and frameworks are up to date.
• Install software loads in preparation for hardware / software testing.
• Develop various land, air, and naval vehicle system simulation models.
• Perform unit and integration testing of simulation models.
• Create system testing documents.
• Analyze, evaluate, and resolve software issues and deficiencies by proposing high-level design and technical solutions.

Work Environment

The position involves working 2-3 days in the office in Halifax, with flexibility regarding office days, though presence is required for testing. The technical environment primarily involves systems running on Windows, with some microcontroller development and minimal embedded work on Linux. You will work within 3D engine environments, engaging in cross-platform code development and cross-compilation.

This is a Contract position based out of Halifax, NS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $60.00 / hr.
