Every day, more than 1,200 people work with the YMCAs of Québec network, providing a variety of services that create positive change in people’s lives.

Camp YMCA Kanawana is Québec’s oldest residential summer camp, offering innovative programming and traditional YMCA values-based camping. Staff members live on-site for the duration of the summer, from June to August. Salaries include food, lodging and transportation to and from camp.

The two welness attendant staff members work closely with the camp’s management team to ensure the health and safety of almost 250 campers and 100 staff members who are at camp each session. This includes managing a 5-bed infirmary, administering medication to campers, treating injuries, responding to emergencies and communicating with parents / guardians and staff.
