Ensuring financial stability, service viability, and effective management and administration of the operations. Providing updated technology and data driven services that meet the needs of Residence and Housing students and users in a responsive, timely, courteous, efficient and effective manner.

About the Role

Acts as the first point of reference for all clients to provide high levels of customer service related to residence living and guest accommodations. In accordance with university policies and department procedures, responds to inquiries and problems regarding student and guest concerns, applications, reservations, maintenance requests, payments, lost keys, mail and room selections. Receives and processes payments for all services and materials supplied through Residence & Housing, and is responsible for maintaining accurate student and guest records.

Qualifications

High school graduation and training of moderate duration (equivalent to one semester) in word-processing and database applications, and in office practices. 3 years of experience. An equivalent combination of formal education, certificate / program of study and experience is acceptable.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Teamwork.
  • Excellent analytical reasoning, good judgment, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work, multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.

  • Additional Information

    The assignment end date is September 30, 2026. Priority will be given to qualified registered SFU students who must submit a Spring 2026 class schedule with their application. This is a part-time position working 42 hours biweekly. Days / hours of work are Friday to Saturday 4 : 00pm to 11 : 30pm and Sunday 9 : 00am to 4 : 30pm. There is 1 position available.
