Position Title: Chemical Handler - Inventory

Length of Contract: 1 year

Compensation: $24 per hour

Location: Ottawa, ON

Chance for Permanent Conversion: Strong

Overview of Role

The Chemical Handler is responsible for supplying chemicals and materials to departments within the facility, while also playing a role in the inventory management aspect of the position. The ideal candidate brings with them a technical aptitude, the ability to adjust and pivot tasks as needed, and previous inventory management is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Supply chemicals and materials to departments within facility
• Handle “on demand” deliveries
• Chemical Inventory Control; cycle counting of materials, ordering materials, material management
• Hazardous waste disposal
• Understand and comply with EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines

Job Requirements:

Requirements and Assets

• High School Diploma, minimum
• Previous experience in inventory control or management, an asset
• Detail-oriented skills
• Ability to follow direction and work independently as required
• Organizational skills considered an asset
