Our client, a well-established civil construction and industrial services contractor with a strong presence across Western Canada, is seeking a Proposal Coordinator to join their Estimating team in either Calgary, AB or in Kamloops, BC. This role is well suited for someone early in their career with exposure to the construction industry and a strong interest in proposal development, offering clear opportunity for long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinate the full proposal lifecycle from RFP issuance through final submission.
- Review solicitation documents and prepare compliance matrices, response outlines, and proposal schedules.
- Draft proposal content in accordance with RFP requirements, including corporate information, project profiles, resumes, bonding, and insurance documentation.
- Develop clear and professional proposal narratives, including technical approaches, methodologies, management plans, and executive summaries.
- Collaborate closely with estimating, operations, leadership, subcontractors, and vendors to gather inputs and meet submission deadlines.
- Maintain and update proposal templates, tools, and content libraries.
- Ensure all submissions meet formatting, branding, and quality standards.
- Track lessons learned from project debriefs to support continuous improvement of proposal processes.
Ideal Candidate Requirements :
Minimum 2 years of experience coordinating construction RFPs or supporting proposal or bid processes in civil, municipal, mining, or similar environments.Post-secondary education in applied science, business, administration, marketing, or a related field preferred.Experience in a junior technical or engineering-related role considered an asset.Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Bluebeam experience is an asset.Professional, collaborative, and proactive approach with a strong interest in career development within civil construction.Based in Calgary, AB or Kamloops, BC.Why This Firm?
