The annual pay range for a full time teacher is $61,522 to $108,126, with placement on the range based on experience and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

Winlaw Elementary School in Winlaw, British Columbia is a K-6 elementary school and is part of the Slocan Valley Family of Schools with approximately 100 students in five divisions.

We are searching for a .220 Term Music Prep Teacher to join our team of professionals in delivering a quality program to our students to our Gr.

1-6 students. Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor of Education at the elementary or secondary level ideally with a Music major (performing arts) in instrumentation and / or choral arts, with music experience at the elementary level.
• A valid BC teaching certificate and current membership in the Teacher Regulation Branch Teachers applying for this position must also possess the following attributes :
• Proven ability as a music teacher in multi-aged settings and grades at the elementary level
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Knowledge of current instructional practices and curriculum
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
• Experience working as a Music Teacher
• Be able to implement a beginning Gr. 5 / 6 Concert Band
• A demonstrated ability to work with colleagues
• Excellent organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to be flexible The ideal candidate will be expected to :
