DIGF-2015 : Atelier II : Collaboration (1.0 credit)
WINTER 2025 : 1 / 9 / 2025 – 4 / 9 / 2025; Wednesday and Friday 3 : 10 PM - 6 : 10 PM; Blended)
COURSE DESCRIPTION : In Atelier II : Collaboration, students develop their ideas and execute their projects as prototypes collectively with feedback from faculty and industry partners. Atelier II : Collaboration is linked to Atelier I : Discovery and builds on the practical and technical skills gained in the fall semester.The course encourages a wide range of approaches to collaborative research and practice-based problem-solving methods. Interaction with industry partners begun in the first semester in Atelier I : Discovery is deepened in the second semester with Atelier II : Collaboration as students work towards a physical articulation of their creative projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES : Teaching and teaching-related responsibilities may include but are not limited to : course outline development, studio preparation and delivery inclusive of lectures, critiques, grading, mid-term evaluations and final evaluations / reviews; including responsibility for health & safety and meeting academic and curricular requirements and deadlines. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : Sessional appointments are fixed-term annual contracts. Sessional compensation includes a per-course pay scale with salary level of $6,871.00 (per 0.5 credit course) plus 7% in lieu of benefits and vacation pay, per the provisions of the Employment Standards Act. These positions are subject to budgetary approval and satisfactory enrolment levels.
