The firm is looking for a Director of People and Culture to lead human resources, talent acquisition, and employee engagement across all functions of the firm to help further elevate the organization as a leader in the provision of forward thinking, strategic legal services.

As a member of the senior management team, the Director of People and Culture reports to the Chief Operating Officer and works closely with the management team, the Managing Partner and other senior leaders to ensure and drive strategies relating to the delivery of people services are in alignment with the firm’s vison. The Director is accountable for the firm’s people strategy, programs and initiatives to foster employee engagement and enhance the overall workplace experience. The Director will enable, inspire and engage the HR team as they focus on key priority areas including business processes, planning, and programs, employee wellness programs and advancing a diverse and inclusive culture.

The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking, service-oriented Human Resources leader with a successful track record from within a law firm or the broader professional services sector. This individual will take the time to understand the firm, get to know the team, and build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders all in aid of a highly productive and positive work environment. Key to this individual’s success will be high emotional intelligence, active listening skills, and comfort in working at both the strategic and hands-on level. Exceptional relationship building and communication skills, and an ability to gauge appropriate pace of change will be key. A supportive and inclusive environment is key to the firm, and the Director of People and Culture should epitomize these qualities.

Based in downtown Vancouver, this is a rewarding opportunity for a credible HR leader eager to actively contribute to an organization with a strong HR foundation.

The compensation range for this position is targeted between $150,000 to $200,000. The exact compensation range may vary depending on the candidate’s skills and experience
