About the Role

McCain Foods (Canada) is Συζηψη seeking a temporary full‑time (6 month term) Sanitation Operator to join our Fry Plant facility in Grand Falls, NB. The position is physically demanding and requires working 12‑hour rotating shifts on a 4‑on, 4‑off basis (2 days, 2 nights). Duties involve work in warm and hot indoor environments as well as outdoors under various weather conditions.

The role is situated in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and frequently noisy workplace, requiring a high level of alertness and flexibility. Employees must be comfortable with routine physical activity—including walking, standing, bending, and safely lifting items weighing 35–40 pounds—and able to maintain focus during extended shifts.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Responsible for production line cleanliness and other assigned areas as required.
• Maintain an acceptable level of cleanliness in the assigned area using contacts water hose and chemicals (after chemical training).
• Advise supervision of any safety issues within the work environment.
• Actively look for ways to improve plant sanitation.
• Actively look for ways to improve overall area operation.
• Operate a skyjack and scissor lift, including the use of a harness for specific tasks.
• Perform MDI shift handoffs to ensure seamless workflow between shifts.
