Position Summary

Directs the operations of the organization’s payroll function. Accountable for effectively and efficiently managing all payroll and payroll-related activities across the organization including the management of payroll vendors in countries or regions, where applicable.

Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Results

  • Develops overall strategy for the payroll function.
  • Oversees activities of a team of payroll administrators or analysts that input payroll data and prepare payroll checks.
  • Ensures that payroll processing is delivered in a timely manner and is executed in compliance with standard operating procedures.
  • Ensures robust governance and control over payroll processes and procedures.
  • Ensures that personnel or tax law changes are captured, that overtime or bonus payments are accurately distributed, and that timesheets are submitted and retained appropriately.
  • Ensures compliance with payroll laws and regulations at the state, federal, and international level.
  • Creates and manages the documentation of SOP payroll operations and leads the update if necessary.
  • Conducts regular payroll audit and identifies operational controls.
  • Resolve global payroll issues.
  • Selects third party payroll processors and serves as the company liaison.

Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements

This position requires the following knowledge and skills :

  • years supervisory experience whilst working with payroll systems and payroll service providers.
  • Strong payroll processing and analysis and tax knowledge across several countries
  • Has extensive experience managing payroll and payroll practices for several countries.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination.
