Inventory Associate

Job Purpose
To accurately record packed fruit, assure that product labeling is correct and communicate with packaging line managers to prevent over-packing or under-packing orders. Ensuring no damage to product and orders are assembled correctly for worldwide delivery.
Duties and responsibilities
- Maintain precise records of running inventory levels on a busy packing line.
- Assure data is promptly entered and accounted for in the inventory control system.
- Continually check incomplete orders to ensure their inventory level is current to avoid packing over or under specified order amount.
- Take part in Health and Safety training.
- Report errors or anomalies in inventory counts to the Inventory Clerk
Qualifications
Fluent / reasonable English.Exceptional attention to detail and above average mathematical / organizational skills.Good eye for detail and quality assurance.Able to take direction from supervisors and management when required.Able to work for extended periods of time in a cold room environment while maintaining a focused, safe, and professional manner.Able to stand for extended periods of time and able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs. on a repetitive basis.Must be a flexible team player who works well in a busy and demanding environment.Accounting or business admin studies / background would be preferable but not essential.Working conditions
Our working environment is extremely challenging over a short period of time. Applicants should be aware that this is a farming environment and days off may be limited during our growing and packing season. Applicants should be aware that :
Work hours are dependent on crop maturity and weather.Working environment is cold (0 C), wearing layers is advisable.Work hours are generally at least 50+ hours per week. Job share options may be available, inquire at application.The role is agricultural employment and overtime provisions do not apply.Applicants must be available from late June until early September.The candidate must have the ability to work well with people of varying backgrounds and nationalities.Great teamwork environment.Other Details

Compensation : $18 - 21 per hour, commensurate with experience
