Company : SoluZone Consulting (on behalf of our client in the Food Manufacturing industry specializing in Ready-to-Eat (RTE) and Frozen Ready-to-Eat (FRTE) products)

Position Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily production operations for our client's food manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality Ready-to-Eat (RTE) and Frozen Ready-to-Eat (FRTE) products while maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Production Management :

Supervise and coordinate all activities within the production floor to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.

  • Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistency in RTE and FRTE products.
  • Implement and maintain production schedules to optimize workflow and minimize downtime.

Team Supervision :

Lead, train, and mentor production staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, address concerns, and promote continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance productivity.
  • Quality Assurance :

    Ensure all products meet or exceed quality standards, adhering to HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations.

  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to address any non-conformance issues promptly.
  • Safety and Compliance :

    Promote and enforce adherence to workplace safety protocols and company policies.

  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented where needed.
  • Process Optimization :

    Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.

  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure equipment reliability and operational readiness.
  • Reporting and Documentation :

    Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, downtime, and employee attendance.

  • Prepare and submit production reports to the Operations Manager or Plant Manager.
  • Qualifications and Skills :

    Education :

    High school diploma or equivalent; a post-secondary degree or diploma in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

    Experience :

    Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing, preferably in RTE and FRTE product lines.

  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other food safety regulations.
  • Skills :

    Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working Conditions :

  • Fast-paced food manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods, with occasional lifting of materials up to 50 lbs.
