Description de posteFollowing the laboratory’s established protocols and procedures in consultation with the study administrator and will be responsible for the quality and results of their own work Providing technical assistance to students in the execution of tasks related to research projects Implementing recommended improvements to existing protocols Administrating questionnaires and cognitive testing Contacting participants to complete files when information is missing / to collect additional data Conducting screening interviews with participants to confirm eligibility Preparing all laboratory equipment for patient visit + Printing entire study file and documents + Labelling all study documents and giving them to the research nurse + Preparing and printing labels for all vials + Arranging matrix boxes according to participant visit Maintenance and organization of matrix database + Entering information into the database with correctly identifying information and ensure everything is updated in real time (database curatorship) + Updating queries to reflect status of the database + Ensuring that all participant results are received and kept in order + Advising the research administrator when results are missing and following up to ensure complete results are uploaded and filed Maintaining and updating laboratory supplies inventory + Regularly assessing laboratory inventory + Alerting the research administrator when results are running low Assisting the research administrator in shipment of international samples Arranging the inventory to international shipments to collaborators Data entry on new platform to ensure accurate entry of data Assisting with uploading of all electronic sheets from paper files Undergraduate degree in a health-related discipline Bilingual French and English is mandatory (Spoken and Written – Asset if familiar in scientific writing) Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Excellent oral / written communication skills Ability to work independently with accuracy Strong organization and interpersonal skills Experience in a research laboratory is an asset Knowledge of French and English : McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.
