Please Note : Due to the specialized nature of this position the successful applicant if currently a continuing appointee with Prince George School District may be seconded to this position thereby having the assurance to return to his / her position.

Curriculum & Innovation provides professional learning opportunities resources & support for SD57 staff aligning with district goals. The Curriculum & Innovation Support Teacher will work directly with teachers throughout the school district particularly in support of collaborative learning teams in our schools. This position may be embedded into a school site. The successful candidate will work closely with other members in Curriculum & Innovation.

Technology for Learning portfolio supports teacher and learning support staff in growing understanding and proficiency of utilizing educational technology to enhance student learning including differentiation assessment and cross-curriculum learning and Office 365.

The Curriculum Innovation Support Teacher will collaborate to

• Support educators throughout the school district with professional growth and use of technology to support student learning
• Update and maintain district and school websites
• Design and implement professional development opportunities for educators including learning support staff
• Operationalize the district goals in support of learning

About School District 57

School District No.57 resides on the unceded ancestral lands of the Lheidli Tenneh First Nations McLeod Lake Indian Band and the Simpcw First Nations.

Geographically we expand from Mackenzie through Prince George to McBride and Valemount. We serve 41 schools : 32 Elementary schools 8 Secondary schools and 1 District Learning Support center for alternative and alternate learning opportunities.

We provide educational programs for approximately 15000 students inclusive of early learning after school art and sports programing trades programs and dual credit programs with our local post-secondary schools.

We support Lheidli Tenneh students McLeod Lake students and Takla students living on reserve through our Local Education Agreements. With each Nation we co-construct the educational services provided to the students while attending a school within our school district.
