Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Reactor Physics Engineer.
Status: Regular Full Time | Working Conditions: Hybrid

Salary Range: $1,704.68 - $2,924.93 per week

Responsibilities
- Own and manage Fuel and Reactor Physics processes, workflow, software and codes, including internal qualifications (e.g., Fueling List Preparation, Core Simulation & Surveillance, Reactivity Management, Fuel Performance Evaluation, Support for Unit Approach to Critical, Fuel Inventory Reporting, and Regulatory Audits).
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders, including Operations and the Regulator, on a day-to-day basis.
- Perform reactor fueling analyses and Reactor Physics assessments to support reactor operations; maintain written processes and procedures to reflect improvements and additions to supported systems.
- Coordinate specification clarifications and arrange or coordinate technical work across major work areas as required.
- Maintain and update operating and other department/divisional procedures.
- Provide technical evaluations and advice, solve problems and coordinate technical work to support commissioning, operation and maintenance of facilities.
Qualifications
- 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science or Engineering.
- Master’s or Ph.D. considered an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience, preferably in a nuclear setting.
- Experience in managing regulatory and licensing issues within a nuclear safety context.
- Knowledge and experience in Safe Operating Envelope (SOE) is an asset.
- Strong governance and procedural adherence with analytical thinking and the ability to work with limited supervision.
- Team-oriented with the ability to coordinate with internal and external groups to meet stakeholder requirements.
- Knowledge of Reactor Physics concepts.
- Candidates must be a fully licensed engineer in Ontario, or eligible for licensure in Ontario.

The base salary range reflects factors including experience and education. Salary offers depend on multiple factors and are not necessarily at the top of the range. For management roles, the total compensation includes pay-for-performance components.
