Security Systems Service Technician

Join our growing Systems Integration team and help support, maintain, and optimize integrated security technologies across British Columbia.As a Security Systems Service Technician, you will be responsible for the ongoing support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and related low-voltage infrastructure. Our diverse, highly qualified team members and relentless commitment to excellence create superior results for our clients.ResponsibilitiesInstall, program, and service security systems including CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms (ULC fire monitoring systems and non-ULC), intercoms and perimeter detectionFocus on diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing system issues across multiple platformsPerform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure systems remain reliable and fully operationalWork closely with clients to identify issues, explain solutions, and provide responsive supportMaintain accurate service records, reports, and test documentationTrain end-users on system operation and basic troubleshootingStay current with evolving technologies, products, and industry standardsFollow all safety guidelines and company proceduresParticipate in on-call support as neededAssist, guide, and mentor junior technicians when requiredSupport system upgrades, expansions, and small installation projectsRequirements5+ years of experience in integrated security or low-voltage systemsExperience servicing and supporting integrated security systems, including upgrades, expansions, and commissioning projectsValid Trades Qualification (TQ) certification, or currently working toward certificationValid driver's licence with clean recordExperience and/or certifications with systems such as KEYSCAN, ICT, DSC, Honeywell Vista, Genetec, Avigilon, Milestone, AMAG, Kantech, Gallagher, Lenel, SES, AIPHONE, and others is considered an asset.Post-secondary education in electronics or a related field is an assetTechnical troubleshooting, repair skills and system programming experienceAbility to manage service calls independently with minimal supervisionGood organization and time managementClear communication with clients and team membersAbility to be available for On-Call rotationsWorking ConditionsRequires lifting (up to 50 lbs.), climbing, and working at heightsWork may be indoors or outdoors, including construction environmentsMay involve confined spaces, travel, and moderate noise levelsThis role may require occasional travelCompany Perks$35-$45 per hourHealth & dental benefits for full-time employeesUp to $1,000 in referral bonuses when your friends join the teamProfessional Development & Internal Career Growth Opportunities (Training and Systems Certifications)A culture of respect and mentorshipAccess to exclusive employee discounts on over 5000 products & servicesCompany vehicle, fuel card, phone allowance/company phone, tool allowance, and overtime opportunities available.Work with a wide variety of technologies across commercial, industrial, institutional, healthcare, government, and critical infrastructure environments.Ready to Apply?Upload your resume and a cover letter explaining why this role aligns with your goals.
