Job Summary

Two Part time positions available : Sat / Sun 0000-1200 and 0000-1200

The Guardhouse Security Officer is responsible for monitoring and controlling all truck traffic entering and exiting the yard ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with site procedures. The position also involves active surveillance of the facility through the CCTV system to maintain a safe and secure environment. This role requires strong attention to detail multitasking ability and clear communication with drivers warehouse staff and other security personnel.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and log all trucks entering and leaving the yard.

Verify driver credentials and ensure they follow check-in and check-out procedures.

Operate and monitor the CCTV system to oversee yard activity and identify irregularities.

Communicate with mobile and static guards regarding truck movements or security issues.

Maintain accurate gate logs delivery times and security reports.

Report suspicious activity safety hazards or procedural violations immediately.

Control entry barriers or gates and ensure proper documentation is completed for each vehicle.

Support incident investigations by providing CCTV footage or related records.

Qualifications

Valid Security Guard License.

Logistics Experience would be an asset.

Strong observation and reporting skills.

Experience in logistics transportation or industrial security preferred.

Familiarity with CCTV systems access control and radio communication.

Professional demeanor and ability to manage driver interactions calmly and efficiently.
