About the Company

Recline Ridge Vineyards & Winery is a family-owned and operated boutique winery in the scenic Shuswap Lake region of British Columbia. The original vines were planted in 1994, and the winery was established in 1998. It specializes in cool-climate grape varietals such as Madeleine Angevine, Ortega, Siegerrebe, Optima, and Maréchal Foch. The location—north of the 50th parallel—with sun-drenched days and cool evenings gives the wines distinctive varietal character, clean structure, and balanced flavour.

In addition to wine production, Recline Ridge operates a welcoming wine shop and tasting bar, offers winery tours, tastings, and events for visitors, and serves a growing base of local and regional customers. The winery provides online ordering with shipping across multiple Canadian provinces, making its wines more accessible to wine lovers across the country.

With the continued growth of production, sales, and tourism activities, we are now seeking a permanent, full-time Bookkeeper to join our team and help manage the financial operations of our diverse business.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate books : accounts payable, accounts receivable, daily transaction recording
• Reconcile bank accounts monthly; manage general ledger and subsidiary ledgers
• Post journal entries, maintain trial balance, prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet etc.)
• Track costs associated with vineyard operations, wine production, tasting room, retail shop, online orders and special events
• Prepare and process payroll; manage deductions and remittances (GST / PST, payroll taxes, etc.)
• Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring
• Prepare and file government reporting and compliance documents
• Liaise with external accountants / auditors during year-end
• Other related duties
