Payroll & Accounting Administrator

Job #4665– Our client is looking for a well-organized Payroll Administrator to join their tight knit team on a one-year maternity leave contract! The ideal candidate is a quick learner with solid payroll experience and a passion for numbers. In this role you will be responsible for processing payroll as well as jumping in and helping out the accounting team where needed. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the main responsibilities include :

• Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
• Calculate wages, deductions, benefits entitlements and overtime
• Maintain employee information and payroll records
• Act as point of contact for payroll related enquiries
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations
• Assist with payroll tax filings and reporting
• Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies
• Assist with month-end and year-end close process
• Assist with other tasks as needed

Qualifications

Mandatory :

The main qualifications for this role include :

• Post-secondary experience in payroll and / or accounting preferred
• Minimum 2+ years payroll experience
• Solid knowledge of payroll regulations
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and time management skills
Definite Assets :
• ADP
• SAP
• Quebec payroll experience

What’s the Bottom Line :

• $60,000 – $78,000 annual salary
• 4% vacation pay paid out
• Hybrid working schedule
