About the Opportunity : As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide person-centered supports to people residing in the community. You will accomplish this by presenting a holistic approach, helping people to engage in activities that they enjoy. You will encourage building connections and relationships, and you will promote and encourage learning and development in their daily living, building life skills. Qualifications

• No experience required
• Grade 12 or equivalency is required
• Experience, education, or training in the Disability Sector is an asset
• Experience working or volunteering in Human Services is an asset
• Have good written and verbal communication skills
• Be caring, compassionate, patient, respectful, and understanding.
• Practice privacy and confidentiality
• Valid Manitoba Class 5F License and access to vehicle, willingness to transport person supported required
• Clear Adult & Child Abuse Registry and satisfactory Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector. Document will be considered current if obtained no more than 3 months prior to start of employment
