Elder Care Provider Wanted - Caregiver Job For Immediate Work

Hi. We are looking for a fulltime, live in caregiver for long term who can start immediately so you need to be in Canada right now.

We are looking for someone who is serious to work as a caregiver. We are looking for someone who can start in the next month so you would need to be in Canada already. We have had 2 caregivers for my 30yr old son with cerebral palsy for the last 15 years who share the work. The applicant needs to be at least 5'2" in height or taller and strong to help my son with walking and showering. There is lots of lifting and weight balancing involved. It is very important that in any information you send me will include your height and weight and picture as this is very important when working with my son.

I'm not sure what kind of job you are looking for but here is some information on my son and the job. My son is 30yrs old and has cerebral palsy. He occasionally will have seizures as well. He can't talk although he understands simple words. He hears very well and spends most of his day listening to music. He has about 10% eyesight. He requires help in all day to day activities which includes getting up in the morning, toileting, showers, eating and dressing. He is extremely nice and never violent. He likes giving hugs. He can walk with help and only weighs about 43kg. Our house is totally handicap accessible which makes things easier.

There is also lots of laundry, cooking and house cleaning to do as part of the job.

We have 2 caregivers who work for us. One is leaving in early December about a month away. The 2 caregivers have a schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off. During the 7 days on, the work day is roughly from 8 : 15am to 9 : 15pm with time off between 2pm and 3 : 30pm when my son goes down for a rest. They like this schedule as they both have places in the city they go to during their 7 days off. When they are working they live at the house for 7 days and have their own rooms. Before that I had one caregiver who stayed here on her days off too which is fine. Each caregiver has their own room.
