Occupational Therapist Occupational Therapy Corporate

This position will report to the Manager Professional Practitioner.

Accountabilities:

• Provide quality occupational therapy services within a client-centred framework
• Determine the physical perceptual cognitive and functional status of patients through administration of formal and informal assessments; plan and implement interventions to enhance overall functioning; and make recommendations regarding level of support required upon discharge
• Provide education to the patients their families students and interdisciplinary members and participate in interdisciplinary rounds meetings committees and quality initiatives in the program and occupational therapy team as needed
• Practice in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the COTO

Qualifications :

• BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
• Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
• Membership in CAOT or OSOT preferred
• Fluent in English (reading writing speaking and comprehension)
• Recent experience in adult physical medicine
• Basic knowledge of evidence-based clinical practice related to general medicine and rehab clients
• Experience with psychosocial cognitive perceptual and physical health related assessment and intervention skills addressing occupational performance
• Demonstrated ability to manage high caseload volumes
• Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment with excellent time management and organizational skills required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
• Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills required

• Excellent attendance punctuality and work record
• May be required to travel between and work at all Osler sites

Additional Information :

Hours: Currently days/evenings including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

Minimum: $41.73/hourly

Maximum: $54.79/hourly
