**Description:**
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented indivitual to join our dynamic team as a Fleet Assistant. This position offers hands-on experience in fleet operations and management within the transportation sector. You will work closely with our seasoned fleet managers and gain exposure to the intricacies of maintaining and optimizing a diverse fleet of vehicles.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist in monitoring and coordinating fleet activities to ensure efficient operations.
- Learn to schedule and prioritize vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Support in tracking fleet performance metrics and preparing reports.
- Help manage driver schedules and assignments.
- Gain insight into optimizing multiple variables to reduce operational costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve fleet-related issues.
**Requirements:**
- Currently pursuing a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Experience working in the transportation industry is considered an asset
- Clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and clean driving abstract.
- Full SGI Class 5 drivers license and legal eligibility to work in Canada.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
