Our Corporate Strategy group is currently looking to add a Salesforce CRM Specialist to our growing team, based in Calgary, AB (or potentially Edmonton, AB or Toronto, ON).
Reporting to the Director of AI & Business Transformation, we are seeking an experienced Salesforce professional to serve as a hands-on developer supporting the build-out of our new operational Salesforce platform while also acting as administrator for the existing commercial Salesforce environment to ensure successful platform development while equipping P&L owners and the Commercial team with accurate pipeline insights and analysis.
This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the go-to-market strategy, and operational delivery is managed through Salesforce. Overall, the role collaborates cross functionally to translate business needs into high performing system designs and drives continuous improvement through automation, data integrity, and Salesforce best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
Salesforce Development
- Work directly with Valard's Salesforce Platform Lead to design and build scalable solutions on a greenfield Salesforce org
- Build custom solutions using Apex (classes, triggers, batch processing)
- Develop Lightning Web Components to extend platform functionality
- Design and configure Flows for process automation
- Partner with IT Enterprise Applications team to support integration, maintenance and development
- Support deployments using enterprise change management processes in a SOX-compliant environment
- Assist with quarterly and annual compliance audits as required
Platform Administration
Manage user setup, permissions, profiles, and rolesConfigure custom objects, fields, page layouts, and record typesBuild reports and dashboards for pipeline visibility and business intelligenceMaintain data integrity and support end users with platform questionsPlatform Optimization & Strategy
Partner with business stakeholders and Quanta counterparts to gather requirementsTranslate business needs into technical solutionsRecommend improvements to workflows, data structures, and user experienceSupport roadmap planning and alignment with business prioritiesEnsure platform aligns with internal standards and governance requirementsRequirements
Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Systems (or equivalent experience)3 years of demonstrated Salesforce development experienceExperience with Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and FlowsStrong understanding of Salesforce data model and security frameworkFamiliarity with version control (Git) and DevOps tools (Gearset, Copado, or similar)Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, resulting in reliable, accurate reporting and dashboardsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive alignment between Salesforce functionality and business goalsPreferred Skills / Qualifications

This position offers a base salary range of $95 000 – $120 000 annually , depending on experience and qualifications.
